Cliffhouse, Tagaytay

We accidentally found a good place in Tagaytay when we we're looking around for a parking lot. We found this place and one thing you know, Cliffhouse became our favorite place to hang out. I fell in love with how simple it is and how close to nature you can get with all your favorite restos just around you.

The first thing you'll notice is the stairs. I love how it creates an illusion of walking down the isle on a red carpet with flowers around you. LOL.

Wooden signboards read all the restos you can find in the area.

The next picture is my favorite picture that I've taken during our visit. I don't know if its just me but the image shows emotions and drama.

But the trip to Tagaytay wouldn't be complete without taking a great view of the active Taal Volcano, the smallest volcano in the world.

For my next post, I will show you where we had great desserts for dinner. Stay tuned.

Manila Scramble

I never tried scramble when I was a kid cause my mom don't want me to eat anything that is sold on the streets outside our school. But sometimes I sneaked in by eating fishballs or kikiam, but never tried scramble really. So when we visit SM Hypermarket in Tiendesitas, this small kiosk caught my attention.

I finally tried scramble for the first time and I pretty much enjoyed the experience. What made it all the more special is its price and the toppings you can add with it. Try this, its fun - and its safe (I mean safer).

Mister Kabab

Rick, a good friend of ours and the marketing manager of Dean and Trent, invited us for lunch at Mister Kabab located at West Avenue. I haven't heard of the place yet but Ren who hears about it quite often is excited to try their food. Rick told me that this place is open 24 hours that is why drunkards who wants to sober up stays here until they can carry themselves home safely.

Sizzling Keema

I ordered the keema cause it sounds ethnic but I don't know what the hell it really is! Once it came, I tasted it and its alright. Kinda taste like liver spread actually but a tad spicier. Anyways, Ren finished the whole meal cause I can't devour it all. And to kill the aftertaste, I ordered rice pudding which looks like a brain at first but tastes like suman dipped in syrup.

Ren finished it off with a strawberry+vanilla mixed soft ice cream.

In the Studio

2 of my days was spent here and I will surely miss the place until our next pictorial. I feel so blessed to be part of a great company and I'm all the more honored to be part of the team that is behind the launching of great ads on the billboard along EDSA or at the magazine you're reading.

New Job, New Baby!

So after 2 months of looking around for the best job opportunity out there, I finally got my dream job. Trust me, it ain't easy to go look around for jobs these days. It will definitely test your patience. I went through hell just going through the worst interviews of my life to the worst work place there is. But God is so good that He always prepare a wonderful blessing for me. In return, I promise Him that I would give 10% of my monthly income to church.

I am now working under the ad and promo department of Suyen Corporation. There are a lot of great things that come with the position but I've been warned not to give out too much information. I'm sure you'll get what I do here from the post I'll be publishing in the future.

My dirty work station

Yesterday, I bought a new toy - the Lumix LX3. And I can say that this little gadget is badass! It has this vintage look but has all the specs you're looking for in a portable camera. Go google about it to know more about the magical things it do. I can't wait to go out of town and do a test run.

Miss the Techie Life

Damn! I definitely miss blogging. And not just blogging but the whole internet phenomena like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc. My new work doesn't really allow me to use the internet. No connection on our department because from what I've heard, people wouldn't focus much on their job when they've been given access to the internet. But maybe I'll cheat a little and try to use broadband next time. I can't live without it (internet), its so frustrating.

Thats it muna cause I need to do a lot of things tomorrow. I'll update this again soon. I'll make kwento promise.

Pending

While I thought I already grab my dream job, things became worst than it already is.

I am cleared of my PTB, but when I took my medical for the company last week, the doctor told me that I have hypertension. They still wouldn't allow me to work unless they found out what's causing my blood pressure to rise. I took different test again and will find the result on Monday.

I am so frustrated because this is my dream job and my dream company. I am doing everything just to lower my BP now. No more meat and I started eating veggies. I hope everything turn out to be fine. The position needs me to start immediately so I'm scared they might just look for different candidate cause there are tons of complications with my medical. Please God help me.

Please pray for me.

Ride the Jeep and NOTICE this?

I rarely ride the jeepney. Not that I'm pasosyal, it's just that I think they're unnecessary. First, there are ton of them on the street that causes horrendous traffic; they are maneuvered by drivers who don't usually follow the traffic rules; and they are a hot spot for theft and robberies. If they would be abolished then maybe the government will take actions on the other means of transportation like the buses, train system and taxis. Other countries don't have them and they're doing alright.

2 days ago, I am in a place wherein a taxi or a bus rarely pass by. An old sweet lady told me that I need to ride a jeepney in order to get to the main road just so I could hail a cab. Well I did and thank heavens because 2 policemen got in also. That make the ride all the more safe (I think). I sit at the far end and notice this:

Photobucket

The far end is now a place for the handicapped. It's a simple gesture but I'm sure it'll help our fellowmen with disabilities alot. Whoever think of this idea is a genius. Now, to those who ride the jeepney, respect the new rule alright? If you are not handicapped, scoot over to the middle or anywhere aside from this spot. Thanks.

Espanyol!

Back when I was in college, I always thought that attending Spanish classes is dope. Being able to learn the language of the telenovelas (no koreanovelas yet!) really fascinates me. What made the class all the more interesting is that we had this fat, jollibee-lookalike prof who don't know squat about the Filipino language. He can't really tell whether we say bad things against him cause he only knows Spanish and a few English. I don't even know how I passed that subject.

Anyhoo, he taught us this upbeat, jamaican-rhythmic song so we could be more familiarize with the language and its sort of a practice for us too. But now that I've research about it, I found out that the song is actually about people liking Marijuana! Damn! And boy do I realized that we have the coolest professor in college! Haha. Check out the track and the video.

I like it. Me gusta Marijuana!

PBA-Powerade Run for a Cause

I'm really excited about this run because it'll be my first participate in such event ever. I tried to train for about a week but its really hard to battle with sleepiness and laziness especially when the bed is too comfortable.

That day, I dreamt about the run being cancelled due to bad weather. So I rest soundly and just woke up when the sun is shining brightly already. That when it hits me. The race is still on and we are effing late. Ren and I got out of the house and I drove the car as fast as I can. We tried to contact TJ (Brand Manager of Powerade) and good friend Chellix if the run had already started but they hardly answer our call.

We came to the event late and run a few blocks instead of the whole 3 kilometers. We saw tons of basketball players but when they finish their route, most of them went straight to their cars and head somewhere else. Maduga! Pero I didn't care much since I'm not really a big fan of basketball. I'll try to join other runs next time. Its fun. Andaming freebies!
